How hard is it to transfer from a community college to 4 year degree with below average high school grades?

I plan on starting a community college this summer, probably for an associate in arts or science and I would like to transfer to a state university. My high school grades are not very impressive, like a 2.0, but if I earned a 3.5 or higher in a community college, how hard will it be to get accepted in a business program at a decent university?

Your high school record won’t matter too much if you are transferring in as a junior after completing an AS/AA at a community college. I think you have a good plan in place, just do very well at the community college. You can recover from poor high school grades by proving yourself for 2 years at a CC, but if you mess up at the CC, it’s going to be difficult to get into a decent 4 year school. good luck!
